It's DIY livery — but properly managed. You do your horse; we run a tight, safe, and welcoming yard around you, here in the South Lanarkshire countryside.
Welfare first, always
Every decision — routines, turnout, feeding, facilities — starts with a simple question: what's best for the horse? Comfort and wellbeing are never traded for convenience.
Geldings only
We keep an exclusively gelding herd. It makes for a calmer, more harmonious group with far less tension, so horses settle quickly and live contentedly together.
Properly run & organised
Clear routines, careful record-keeping and honest communication. You'll always know how your horse is doing — and that the yard is run to a genuine standard.
A yard you can trust
We take on a limited number of horses by invitation, so we can keep standards high and the herd settled. If our approach sounds like the right home for your gelding, we'd love to hear from you.
We keep Flintwood deliberately small. Welfare comes before scale, so we limit numbers — which means every horse and every owner is genuinely known to us. The herd is geldings only for calm and harmony, and we meet every applicant in person before they join.
